Korea: Breguet and Frieze in Seoul
Art and Culture ,
The House of Breguet, once again, participates in the Korean edition of Frieze, taking place from September 4 to 7, 2024, at the COEX in Seoul. As with New York, Breguet is collaborating with curator Jenn Ellis, who this time presents "Post Atlantica" with French artist Noémie Goudal. This exhibition highlights an artistic dialogue with paleoclimatology, to understand the trajectory of our planet from the perspective of "deep time", through the study of climate and geology. This is the second chapter in a four-part series presented at Frieze exhibitions, blending art, science, literature and mechanics, always focusing on the general theme of "evolutionary change".
"I really wanted to introduce Noémie Goudal, a leading artist with a focus on paleoclimatology, to respond to Seoul's energy - its incredible presence in the present, but also where we’re going globally. It is important to me to find these connections between different parts of the globe, as well as in relation to Breguet’s relationship with time and innovation. To be thinking universally about our interactions with nature, ecology, and technology - our development as humankind." explained Jenn Ellis.
