The Marine collection, watchmaking art in motion

Inspired by the title of Chronometer-Maker to the Royal Navy bestowed on Abraham-Louis Breguet under Louis XVIII, the Marine collection translates this heritage into contemporary timepieces. Guilloché with maritime reflections, satin-brushed finishes, or delicate engravings: each piece illustrates the métiers d’art that the Maison has nurtured for over two centuries. Watchmaking tradition here takes on a sporty allure, designed to stand the test of time.

Breguet’s links to the maritime world date back to 1815 when Abraham-Louis Breguet was appointed by the King of France to be Horloger de la Marine (Watchmaker to the French Navy). Only one watchmaker at a time could be given that honor.
