The Type XX through the lens of Breguet Craftmanship

Breguet timepieces stand out as much for their technical design as for the richness of their finishing. The Type XX collection is no exception. Each of its components benefits from the same level of excellence, inherited from the métiers d’art and watchmaking decorations the Maison has upheld for over two centuries.

Breguet, a name synonymous with inventiveness

While A.-L. Breguet (1747–1823) unlocked the doors of time by enabling major advances in watchmaking, his great-great-grandson Louis Breguet (1880–1955) flung wide the doors of the sky. A graduate engineer from the École Supérieure d’Électricité, this pioneer founded his aviation company, where for over fifty years he developed cutting-edge biplanes and later monoplanes, including the famous Breguet 19 bomber and reconnaissance aircraft, widely used for long-distance flights.
