Great Britain: Breguet Renews Its Participation with the London Concours

For the second consecutive year, the house of Breguet is proud to renew their role as Presenting Partner for the London Concours 2020. Hosted at the Honourable Artillery Company, a five-acre oasis of green in the heart of the City of London, the London Concours is an automotive garden party, also celebrating the finest offerings in the worlds of jewellery, fashion and watchmaking. The 2020 event took place on August 19th and 20th.

This partnership is a nod to the historical ties which unite Breguet with the automotive industry. During the interwar years, the House demonstrated a highly diverse range of activities, most notably by supplying one of its faithful friends, the brilliant car manufacturer Ettore Bugatti. At the beginning of the 1930s, he ordered Breguet chronographs featuring a tachymeter function, with the intention of placing these in the middle of the steering wheel of his luxurious “Royale” cars. The House was able to acquire one of these models during an auction which took place in 2016.
