Breguet and the Congress of Vienna

At the occasion of the congress of Vienna’s bicentenary, the Austrian Breguet boutique honored the five main negotiators of this diplomatic conference, each of whom were owners of a Breguet timepiece. This event gathered several members of the “Watchmaking Support Association in Austria.” After a warm welcome at the boutique, guests headed to the watch museum of Vienna, discovering on their path, anecdotes in relation with Breguet owners which happened during the congress. At the museum, guests also had the privilege of discovering antique Breguet timepieces including a pocket watch that belonged to Count Potocki, a Russian politician who was invited to the congress of Vienna by the Tsar Alexander I.
