Breguet is now reinventing this model in new colours, thus giving it a new appearance.
Two art forms have been chosen to enhance these new Reine de Naples pieces: guilloché and “Grand Feu” enamel. These processes, requiring both skill and patience, are carried out entirely within the Manufacture workshops in the Vallée de Joux thanks to the expertise of talented craftsmen.
The first Reine de Naples model to make its debut elegantly combines mother-of-pearl and guilloché with subtle touches of colour. Its Breguet numerals are enhanced by a red hue, echoing the ruby setting on its bezel, flange and crown. This timepiece also boasts a pear-cut ruby positioned at 6 o’clock.
For the first time in its collections, Breguet is unveiling a Reine de Naples model with a black “Grand Feu” enamel dial. Complemented by swirling Breguet Arabic numerals, this new design is embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds. A sumptuous pear-cut diamond is positioned at 6 o'clock.
The white gold case of the Reine de Naples 8918, with its finely ribbed sides, houses the automatic manufacture calibre 537/3, with a power reserve of 45 hours. It features a silicon escapement and balance spring as well as a guilloché gold rotor. Each component has been carefully decorated by hand.
